  Dear WISTA Victoria Members and Supporters, 

  We are delighted to invite you to the upcoming WISTA Victoria Networking Lunch, taking place on Wednesday, 15 April 2026, at the Bank on Collins in the Melbourne CBD.

  This lunch will be a great opportunity to reconnect with fellow WISTA members and WISTA supporters, strengthen professional relationships, and enjoy engaging conversation in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

  Manish Taneja, Deputy State Rep for Victoria, who works as a Chartering and Operations Manager in liquids and dry bulk (fertilisers), will also share a short update on the impact of the Middle East conflict on shipping. 

  Whether you are a long‑standing member or new to WISTA, we would be delighted to see you there.

  The Australian Maritime Safety Authority, WISTA Australia, the Australasian Marine Pilots Institute and The Nautical Institute invite you to join us for the IMO International Day for Women in Maritime 2026.

  This collaborative industry event will bring the maritime community together to recognise the contribution of women across our sector and reinforce the importance of safe, inclusive and supportive workplaces. It will be an insightful and engaging day focused on advancing gender equity and fostering a culture of diversity and respect in maritime.

  Importantly, this is a free event, made possible through industry support, and we encourage broad participation from across the maritime community.

  Outline of the Day

  • 10:45am – Arrival tea and coffee
  • 11:15am – Formal program commences
  • 12:30pm – Working lunch
  • 4:00pm – Formal program concludes
  • 4:30pm – 6:30pm – Free networking event including drinks and canapés at Harbourfront Seafood Restaurant (a short five-minute walk from the City Beach Events Centre)
