WISTA Australia (Victoria) is delighted to invite you to a special event hosted in collaboration with Ports Victoria, offering our members and supporters a rare opportunity to visit the Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) Centre in Port Melbourne and gain first-hand insight into the operational side of Victoria's maritime industry.

• WISTA Australia members: Free
• Non-members: $15

What to Expect

During the visit, the Ports Victoria team will:

• provide an overview of Ports Victoria and its role and responsibilities within Victoria's maritime sector;
• introduce the work undertaken at the VTS Centre and how vessel traffic is managed; and
• take us on a guided tour of the VTS operational area.

Many of our members work in office-based and shore-side roles across the maritime industry. This visit provides a unique opportunity to step behind the scenes and gain first-hand insight into the operational environment supporting the safe and efficient movement of vessels through Victorian waters.

We are very grateful to the Ports Victoria team (Andrew Hays, Kylie McDonald and Nick Ellul) for welcoming WISTA Australia and generously sharing their time and expertise with us.
